New Home Building

For many home buyers, the choice between a resale home and a brand new home is easy--They simply want to know exactly what they are getting when they buy.  With a new home there shouldn't be any surprises when you move in.  You know how the house was built and what went into it--what you can see and what is hidden behind the walls.  You also know exactly how to operate and maintain your home's systems and equipment.  If you have questions later, your builder will be there to give you an accurate answer.
Building a new home can be a fun, exciting and wonderful experience.  Before you buy however, do some research.  Talk to friends who have built homes in the past, drive around and decide what area you would like to live in, obtain builder references and utilize the services of an agent or agents who know new construction and will
represent your interests throughout the process.
In the Portland Metropolitan area,
contact us, George & Nancy Perkins.  We were among the first agents to be certified by the Home Builders Association as new home sales specialists.  We only work with established, reputable builders and have been selling new homes since 1981.
A Word of Caution, it may  be best not to purchase a new home if you plan to be moving within 5-7 years.  If you try to sell sooner, you could find yourself competing with brand new homes being built just around the corner.
