Watch this KGW TV story about one of our client's assets that was also featured Nationally on CNN
We were assigned this property by a major REO servicing commpany. During the eviction process of the former owner it was discovered that he ravaged the property with heavy equipment then locked three pigs inside the house. The situation drew National
media attention which we were able to mitigate. In fact, the lender was never identified in the story. We handled the property clean up and rapid sale. The District attorney later filed charges against the former owner and offered to settle with $19,000 for damages. The former owner wouldn't agree and we were called to testify at the trial which resulted in a $25,000+ settlement and jail time. The REO manager's recommendation and recollection follows:
"As a 20+ year REO professional it has been my pleasure to know and work with the Perkins twice during this period of time. The first contact came during their involvement in the late 1990's when I was REO Manager at Financial Asset Services (FAS). Their work was professional, ethical, and timely. They are seasoned REO professionals with excellent communication and problem solving abilities.
During my capacity as REO Manager for Accredited Home Lenders, my contact and business relationship with George and Nancy was renewed in 2007. Due to the high quality of their previous work product and local expertise, we engaged their services to list and sell our corporate REO's in the Portland, Oregon area. One of our assigned properties gained national CNN TV exposure due to the damage done by the former borrower being evicted. Potential negative publicity to Accredited was effectively reduced by the Perkins.
The quality of work, BPO accuracy, timely reporting, problem solving, and follow through on closing all were excellent for their assigned properties." William Baldwin, Senior Asset Manager.
OTHER RECOMMENDATIONS:
"I retired from Fannie Mae in Dec. 2007 after 22 years of managing the disposition of REO properties. We hired George and Nancy in the mid-1980's to market properties in the Greater Portland area of Oregon. We renewed our relationship in 2002 and it has continued since that time. We have been very pleased with the performance of their company. Their reports are timely, accurate and professional. They seem to be on the cutting edge of technology and they impressed me with their ability to be proactive on issues rather than reactive. Our homes always showed well and sold in an acceptable amount of time. I would recommend them to anyone looking for good Agents in the area." David Hewes, Retired, FNMA REO Asset Manager
"I have worked with George & Nancy Perkins over the past few years; They have Handled all of Citi's REO properties in the area. I found them to be very professional and knowledgeable. The BPO's were complete and returned in a timely manner, properties were maintained and well kept. They sold the properties within the parameters set forth and the sale price to list was within guidelines. I feel they would be an asset to any company looking to sell their real estate assets." Gwen Jones, Senior Asset Manager
"I am both humbled and honored to give an unqualified recommendation for George and Nancy Perkins and their company 20/20 Properties, Inc. I have known both of them for several decades, and during that time they have demonstrated the highest form of integrity, honesty and work ethic. In my own service as a business executive, President of Habitat for Humanity International, National Assoction of HomeBuilder's President and as a Board Member for FannieMae and the Federal Home Loan Bank Board it is rare to find individuals that own all of these characteristics as wholesome as George & Nancy."
